I think that I shall never see a Haiku postmodern as a tree . . .

I am going to be the world's best haiku-writer in my next life.

While I walk to work,
I listen to my iPod
And that makes life good.
.
I don't own an iPod, which is what makes this postmodern--a word I throw around with abandon without fully understanding it. Catherine, that's what you should do on your VES final: write a Haiku about Top Gun or Tootsie. You can steal these or write your own. Please share any that you write.
.
I like Mav'rick when
he says, "I feel the need, the
need for speed. Wahoo."
.
In Tootsie, Hoffman
wears a dress when he pretends
that he can act well.
.
And this website is pretty interesting, sort of puts things in perspective about just how egocentric we are: http://www.frontiernet.net/~cdm/age1

You are quite a talented haiku writer. :)

P.S. I think Ashley received all/some of the book(s) you sent. (She mentioned Faulkner and asked me for your e-mail address.) :)

I was upset because I added a gift card to the second book that I got Ashley, and that one can't ship for a few days! They were supposed to ship together so that it would make some sense. Ah, well, the best laid plans. ;) How are you?

Ah, yes, I guess you wouldn't know how I'm doing since I haven't posted much on my blog. I'll get to that now. ;)

Too bad about having to ship the items separately for Ashley. It might have been for the best, though: they leave for Scotland Wednesday and might be gone before the second shipment arrives.

Aw, you're cute, Mike. I actually have two MP3 players--but neither is made by Mac. I'm fond of the Creative brand: my 40 gig Creative Jukebox cost less than half the price of the iPod (and works just as well, but with slightly more infuriating software), and I got a free 128 mb flash-esque Creative MuVo with my subscription to Audible.com (which I loooooove). So, thanks anyway! How's life?

I never got to give you your birthday present. I was getting you a make-your-own beer kit and had searched everywhere for . . . now I forget what kind it was . . . the dog or fish or something IPO or something and found a close approximation of the actual recipe. Eh--next year.
