Have you ever had a pet turtle that appeared to die? After several days of excruciating stench, you put it outside in a bowl of water and then promptly forget about it. When you returned in the morning a few days later, was half of the turtle missing? The teeth marks on its shell would seem to indicate that this was a random attack of a hungry racoon. But was it? And, then, was the turtle actually dead or just hybernating? *
Coming this spring, the newest in the slate of CSI (Crime Scene Investigation) shows: CSI: Pet. Join us as we discover just what cats do outside all day (are they really missing or just taking a nap?), what the secret is behind dogs eating scabs (yuck), and just who has been in the catnip.
Come on, Kids--we all have unsolved pet mysteries. For instance, I still don't quite believe that my mamma gerbil ate her babies . . . but that will have to remain a mystery until the next episode of CSI: Pet.

just wanted to point out that today is Dustin Diamond's (aka Samuel "screech" Powers) birthday. Happy birthday Screech. may this year be your best.

That's fantastic! I always forget what it is exactly, but I think I'm connected to Screech through seven or eight connections. One of my favorite things is that my "Wonder Years" soundtrack has Dustin Diamond's picture on its sleeve from a time when he had a small part.
This might not be what you remember, but here's how you're connected to the DDiamond: he lived in the same neighborhood as my college roommate Katrina. (I don't know the details, and she wasn't a *friend* of his, but I assume they spoke.) So that's just 3 degrees of separation from you I think!
