Within the past few weeks, I think I've single-handedly acquired the crown belonging to the Queen B*tch.
Somehow I've managed to turn 3 former roommates and 4 co-workers (including 2 officemates) against me--or so it seems. I know for a fact that the roommates quite dislike me, and it's just a feeling about the co-workers. I seem to be increasingly "forgotten" for outings and such. Of course, it could have something to do with the fact that I often turn down invitations from them. I also feel like I'm walking on eggshells in the office.
The second group could just be my imagination: I might be being overly sensitive. I kind of doubt it, though. If you haven't noticed, I have trouble lying. If someone asks me a question, I usually answer. A few attorneys have been asking me my opinions about people, and I've been honest. Some things I've said as compliments may have been taken out of context and assumed not to be so. Who knows . . .
One thing I do know is that as much as I might like to get mad, this can't all be a coincidence. I've got to come to terms with the fact that I'm to blame for a large part. I don't mind the roommate fight--I do feel strongly about the issues--but I really need to take some time to figure out what I've done and how to fix whatever aspects of my personality are bugging my co-workers. I really like them, and--even if I didn't--I have to work with them for a while more. There's no "exit" sign or trap door to leave.
Kelzie came into town, and I spent Saturday night and Sunday morning breakfast with her. I finally broke down and paid full-price for the new Harry Potter book . . . and fell asleep Sunday afternoon while reading and missed the Peace Now cast party. I woke up this morning (Monday) at 7:30 AM--just in time to get ready for another day of work. So, I basically spent the one day I've had off in weeks having breakfast with Kelzie and her friend, Alicia, and then sleeping. Way to go, Me! :)

You obviously needed the sleep, then!
As for the b*tch thing, just be yourself and don't worry too much about the problems other people have. ;)
